Noise to Signal 0.SE: LLLSD Live

LAB FOR LIFE-LONG SOUND DYSFUNCTIONS (LLLSD) is a collaborative project by Swedish experimental composers and artists Lars Åkerlund, Lise-Lotte Norelius, Sten Backman and Daniel Rozenhall. In Lab for Life-Long Sound Dysfunctions, the four artists work in different constellations with each other, in order to create new meetings in the borderland between the notated, the fixed and the improvised; between the musical and the visual.

Yoshihiro Kikuchi (Japan)
Visual artist/ experimental musician
A rural region of Japan, Miyagi prefecture based visual artist dealing with drawing, collage, painting, printing, sculpture, video, installation etc., besides various forms of experimental sounds. Originally drummer and composer of own band Out Of The Unknown (defunct). Currently plays in an extreme-metal-influenced extremely eclectic 'post-postrock' band Graves And Orchestra Pits with Daniel Vujanic, whose 1st album was released on Utech Records (USA) in 2011. Also, collaborated worldwide with Seido, Bryan Lewis Saunders, Anla Courtis, Vomir / Roro Perrot, Sebastien Borgo, and UTON. As organizer organized many shows for experimental artists for instance, Jean-luis Costes, Lucas Granpa Abela (Justice Yeldham), Anla Courtis, Matto Mottel (Talibam!), Christoph Heemann, Celer, Campbell Kneale (Our Love Will Destroy the World/ ex. Birchville Cat Motel), and more.

Sin:Ned (Hong Kong)
Improviser, experimentalist and noise practitioner from Hong Kong. Advocator of sonic mysticism for freedom against the system in chaos and errors. Co-founder of Re-Records (www.re-records.com) and advisor of soundpocket (www.soundpocket.org.hk). Founding member of No One Pulse and After Doom. Currently running the live performance series NOISE to SIGNAL. Being a veteran writer of the legendary Hong Kong alternative music magazine MCB (Music Colony Bi-Weekly), his writings had influenced a wide spectrum of experimental musicians and listene rs in Hong Kong and China. As a sound improviser, he has offered performance and creative work for concert, sound installation, workshop, audio-visual and theatrical performance. He had taken part and performed in HK Sound and Vision Festival (2003), Get It Louder (2007), Hong Kong & Shenzhen Biennale of Urbanism/Architecture (2007, 2009), Architecture is Art Festival (2009), Notch Festival 2009 Guangzhou Station (2009), Against 2012: Fukuoka Extreme Music Festival (2012), New Vision Arts Festival (2012), Miji Festival (2013) … etc, and collaborated with artists such as Zbigniew Karkowski, Otomo Yoshihide, Kazuhisa Uchihashi, Alfred 23 Harth, Yan Jun, Torturing Nurse, dj sniff, and Dickson Dee…etc.

Sherman (Hong Kong)
Sherman Plays Electric Guitar and effect pedals. His Debut solo work “Politely We Grow Old” was released by Lona Records in 2006. He is also founding member of the experimental duo Yellow Crystal. Sherman has participated in a member of experimental music projects including NOISE to SIGNAL, Kill The Silence Festival, and Keep The Silence, Archetype Ensemble...etc.
